Project Overview

A mobile application for psychological tests designed for students and social workers, enabling online testing and immediate access to results.

Context / Introduction

The app is intended for school psychologists, social workers, and students. It helps conduct psychological assessments remotely, store results, and provide secure access to data. The main goal is to simplify the testing process and make it transparent for both students and professionals.

Problem Statement

Research and interviews with social workers revealed several challenges:

  • The app needed to support different levels of access — students should see only their own results, while psychologists/social workers require full reports.
  • There was a need for retesting options, saving intermediate results, and anonymous login.
  • Without these features, the app was inconvenient and did not meet the requirements of educational and social institutions.

Goals

  • Create an app with flexible access settings for different users.
  • Enable saving and retaking tests.
  • Introduce anonymous login for students.

Solution

  • Implemented different access levels: students can view their own results, while psychologists have access to full reports and analytics.
  • Added retesting and results-saving features to track progress over time.
  • Introduced anonymous login, allowing students to complete tests without registration while maintaining confidentiality.

Implementation / Process

  • Research: Conducted interviews with social workers and students to identify key problems and requirements.
  • Prototyping: Designed an interface with progress indicators, access settings, and result visualization.
  • Testing: Evaluated usability, accuracy of data display, and secure access.

Results

  • Flexible access settings allowed tests to be personalized for each student and aligned with the psychologist’s goals.
  • Students received an intuitive interface with immediate access to their results.
  • Psychologists and social workers could analyze data and track changes in students’ psychological states.

Conclusion / Next Steps

  • The project highlighted the importance of personalization and secure access.
  • Future improvements include:
    • Adding anonymous analytics for group-level insights.
    • Integrating with digital diaries and educational management systems.
    • Enhancing UX based on feedback from students and professionals.
